About Carda

Rehab is a pain. So much so that only 10% of qualifying Cardiac and Pulmonary patients attend, which results in complications for patients and at least $190B in excess costs. At Carda Health, we’ve reimagined rehab. Our program allows patients to complete engaging, compassionate, and life-saving rehabilitation remotely.

Who are we?

We are a team of clinicians, data scientists, mathematicians and repeat entrepreneurs. And one recovering financier. Our united belief is that technology and data, when applied compassionately, can transform individuals’ lives and change even the most entrenched industries. Carda was founded by Harry and Andrew, two friends from Wharton who share a family history of heart disease and experience with Cardiac Rehab. We now work with some of America’s largest and top-ranked hospitals and most innovative insurers. We are fortunate to be backed by some of the best investors in the business who have also backed the likes of Livongo, Hinge, Ro to name a few.

Who are you?

You lead our commercial sales team, charged with expanding our network of participating health systems and plans. You are responsible for getting health systems to partner with Carda Health as an alternative to in-person rehab and for getting health plans to partner with us for increased distribution. You collaborate directly with Harry (the CEO) to iteratively improve our sales process and exceed company-defining metrics. Lastly, you work directly with both founders (Harry and Andrew) to provide input on key product decisions that will unlock sales.

In short, if you are a determined, mission-driven individual with deep experience in sales and you are all-in on transforming American healthcare, we’d love to talk.

In this role, you will

  • Sell, sell, sell: practically, this means getting in front of health systems and plans and convincing them to implement with Carda
  • Hire, train and lead top tier sales talent to manage our payor pipeline
  • Work collaboratively with the CEO to shape our payor and provider sales strategy, improve our patient acquisition strategy in each market
  • Collaborate with the product team to define key features required (and not required) to unlock sales
  • Manage key relationships at large payor organizations
  • Collaborate with our provider sales/partnerships team to ensure alignment with patient referrals
  • Work with our research and marketing teams to effectively convey the value that Carda Health provides to payor organizations
  • Work with CEO to keep the bar for talent, work product and work ethic extremely high at Carda Health

What we look for

  • 10+ years of relevant experience and top performance selling clinical solutions into health plans and/or providers
  • Experience working strategically to improve sales processes and owning the entire sales process from initial meeting to patient acquisition
  • Determination and creativity. Practically, this could mean experience with lead generation/prospecting and/or Sales Development, but also in designing creative ways to get the attention of payer/provider organizations
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM
  • Strong communication skills — verbal, listening and written. We have a strong culture of writing at Carda Health. We have a strong bias towards complete, thoughtful arguments
  • Highly organized with the ability to create, adhere to, and scale repeatable processes
  • Ability to perform with little direction in a high-growth, early stage startup (aka self-driven)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Bonus Points

  • 8+ years exceeding sales quotas into plans and systems
  • Experience with Google Drive, Basecamp and distributed team technologies
  • Experience managing long term relationships with physician groups in addition to selling to them
  • Strong product intuition—an ability to grasp and communicate the minimum amount of engineering work needed to unlock significant revenue
